Thus the advantages of the gasoline engine are its small volume, light weight, cheaper price, and high speed under maximum power, low vibration and noise during work. So gasoline engine has been widely used for cabs especially cars. Most cars are using gasoline engine as power system.
Moreover, comparing to the bulky diesel engine, it consumes less fuel and more safe when working. Especially from the viewpoint of environmental protecting, gasoline engine remits less particular matters and is much quieter than diesel engines.
Therefore, the comparison between the two kinds of engines is quite complicated. There are many objective factors which affect the functions of diesel engine as well as gasoline engine. What vehicle you have or need to buy also matters.
